Buckeyes Land Florida DB Edwards

Defensive back Ben Edwards (Jacksonville, Fla./Trinity Christian) has committed to Ohio State according to Trinity Christian coach Gerard Ross.

Edwards picked Ohio State over scholarship offes from Auburn, Stanford and many others.

Edwards picked Ohio State over scholarship offers from Auburn, Stanford, Georgia Tech, North Carolina and others. In all Edwards have over 20 scholarship offers.

The 6-foot-0 and 196-pound Edwards has been recruited by Tim Hinton. When offered a scholarship by Hinton in January Edwards indicated he was very excited and just a couple weeks later has picked the Buckeyes.

Edwards attended the Buckeyes’ camp this past summer with coach Ross and a number of his teammates.

Edwards is a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports rankings. He is the country’s No. 20 safety prospect and the No. 43 prospect in Florida.

Edwards joins Eric Glover-Williams and Jamel Dean as commitments in the Buckeyes’ 2015 recruiting class.
