I think that looking at each position separately, subdivided by recruiting class, as Steve has done here, is a great analytical approach. It shows clearly who tOSU has brought in at each position over the past 4 or 5 recruiting cycles. That allows us to consider whether the Buckeyes are getting better, treading water or getting worse at each position. As I moved down Steve's list from one position to the next, I found myself making the same observation for virtually every group: The incoming guys are very likely (IMHO) to be better than the current guys, the guys they'll eventually replace. To me, the talent on this team is clearly getting better.

I suppose it would be technically more precise to say that the incoming guys "have the potential to be better than..." because they haven't contributed yet. I'll concede that point. But if you asked me which players I'd rather build a team around -- the 2012 seniors or the seniors of 2016 -- I'd pick the 2016 guys far more often than not. I realize that calls for a lot of speculation on my part, but I'm comfortable speculating. I think the guys Urban has brought in so far are going to have better individual stats, better team W-L records, and longer NFL careers than this year's juniors and seniors. I don't think it's even a close call, frankly.

They are adding Burrows and Woodard at corner, so I'd say they have that licked, even though depth isn't optimum. They did add Powell and Reeves this year.

A left tackle is always a priority.

Until they know they have a playmaking WR, they still need one.

And no LBs in this class is telling, although they just took 5, so numbers should work out.

I agree; of the RBs (APBs)and WRs listed with offers, how does the staff rank offensive game changers (playmakers)?

I'd take Mitchell (LB), D. Johnson (OL), V. Bell (S) and Quick (WR)...and wait until 2014 for anyone else.
