Buckeye Recruiting Week In Review

On Sunday I had the latest edition of my Presenting The Ohio State 2013 Recruiting Class. This edition forecasted Urban Meyer signing 24 prospects come National Signing Day including linebacker Mike Mitchell.

Bill Kurelic is predicting that linebacker Mike Mitchell will be a Buckeye.

On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had information breaking down how many spots there are left in the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting class, the potential for the Buckeyes to land not only Mike Mitchell, but some of his brothers, reason for optimism when it comes to the Buckeyes landing 2014 defensive back Nick Glass and more.

After making an official visit to Louisville, wide receiver James Quick said he still has the Cardinals at the top of his list. Quick plans to announce his college choice Jan. 5 at the Army All-American Bowl.

Also on Monday, I had the latest on 5-star Ohio State safety target Vonn Bell. Bell played in the state championship game last Saturday and Urban Meyer was on hand and had a long talk with Bell after the game.

5-Star 2014 cornerback Tony Brown from Texas is interested in Ohio State. In fact Brown seems to have struck up a good relationship with Ohio State defensive backs coach Kerry Coombs, and Brown’s mom also likes what she is hearing from Coombs.

The Buckeyes’ No. 1 2014 quarterback target Deshaun Watson says he is going to look around some despite his commitment to Clemson. One of the schools Watson is definitely interested in is Ohio State.

The Ohio State staff continues their search for a great, play making wide receiver to add to their 2013 recruiting class. Former Florida State commitment Tony Stevens would be a great addition and it looks like he will make an official visit to Ohio State in January.

Meyer is definitely looking to add one more offensive lineman to his 2013 recruiting class. Towards that end he recently spent over an hour talking in-person to Cal offensive tackle commitment Cameron Hunt and Hunt is interested in making an official visit to Ohio State.

On Wednesday the Buckeyes made another 2013 offer, this one going out to Tennessee offensive tackle commitment Dan Skipper. Skipper is thinking about making an official visit to Ohio State.

As you can see from above, it was another very busy week for Buckeye recruiting and another very, very busy week here at We continue our complete Buckeye recruiting coverage first thing Sunday morning with the latest edition of my 2014 Ohio Top 15.
