We started our coverage this past week on Sunday with the latest edition of my Ohio State 2013 Hot List. With all that has happened lately it should not be surprising that I had a new No. 1 on my list.
Last Sunday the Buckeyes offered 2015 wide receiver George Campbell.
Next up on Sunday I had the latest on wide receiver Corey Smith who made an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Jan. 11. Smith has also made an official visit to the school he committed to, Mississippi State, but his parents said the OSU visit left the best impression.
Wide receiver James Clark made an official visit to Clemson last weekend and when he got back talked about making an official visit to Ohio State this weekend rather than Florida.
Offensive lineman Cameron Hunt made an official visit to Oregon last weekend and afterwards said Ohio State and Oregon were close at the top of his list with Cal also still in the picture.
Drake Harris plans to attend a big Buckeye junior day in February.
On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had information on Drake Harris being part of a big junior day coming up for the Buckeyes, a Florida wide receiver perhaps being a priority now for the Buckeyes, maybe the next Bradley Roby at Ohio State and more.
Also on Monday Bucknuts had the news that Tom Herman would be stopping to see Timmons the next day and a scholarship offer seemed likely.
On Tuesday I had the news that Meyer and Herman would be in Florida the next day to meet with Clark and try to convince him to visit Ohio State this weekend rather than Florida.
On Tuesday night Bucknuts had the news that Carrington is planning to make an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Feb. 1.
Wednesday morning I had the second edition of “Kurelic’s Talking…” In this edition I opined on Urban Meyer’s strategy with his “in-home” visit with Vonn Bell, Ohio State potentially looking good with star 2014 wide receiver Drake Harris, and what is going on with the Buckeyes’ search for another wide receiver for their 2013 recruiting class.
Also on Wednesday morning I had the news that the Buckeyes had offered Timmons a scholarship. I also had the news Timmons would visit Ohio State, it is just a matter of when and if it will be an official or unofficial visit.
Meyer and Herman met with Clark on Wednesday evening and got the job done. Clark decided that night to make an official visit to Ohio State this weekend.
Clark had plenty to say on the eve of his official visit to Ohio State this weekend and we had it all here on Bucknuts.
Are the Buckeyes getting close to offering a scholarship to another 2014 Ohioan? An offensive lineman from central-Ohio thinks they could be.
Even though defensive lineman Donovan Munger made an official visit to Florida State last weekend, all looks good for him to be a Buckeye.
This weekend Timmons will decide whether to make an official visit to Ohio State or Florida the weekend of Feb. 1
As you can see from above, it was another very busy week for Buckeye recruiting and another very, very busy week here at Bucknuts.com. We continue our complete Buckeye recruiting coverage on Sunday with the latest edition of my Ohio State 2013 Hot List.
