Our recruiting coverage this past week began with my usual Sunday feature. This week it was a look at the prospects that are the best bets to join the four prospects that have already committed to Ohio State and end up in the Buckeyes’ 2014 recruiting class.
Will Dillon Bates be a Buckeye?
On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had news on a possible Ohio State advantage with one of the Buckeyes’ top offensive line targets; Dillon Bates perhaps being a Buckeye; A possible spring game surprise visitor and more.
On Wednesday I had the latest edition of Kurelic’s Talking… In this edition my topics included my thoughts on Ed Warinner and the Buckeyes’ offensive line recruiting and two very good Buckeyes that perhaps came close to not becoming Buckeyes.
One of the crown jewels of the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting class is defensive end Joey Bosa. Bosa’s younger brother, freshman defensive lineman Nick Bosa, has already been offered a scholarship by Meyer and says Ohio State is at the top of his list.
Defensive lineman Dylan Thompson will visit Ohio State at the end of this month. Meyer has told Thompson he is one of their top two targets at this position.
Also set to visit Ohio State at the same time as Thompson is running back Jonathan Hilliman who the Buckeyes have also offered a scholarship.
And yet another top prospect, 5-star offensive lineman Braden Smith, will visit Ohio State this month too.
All-purpose back Christian McCaffrey from Colorado is another talented prospect that recently spoke to Meyer. McCaffrey is definitely interested in visiting Ohio State.
As you can see from above, it was another very busy week for Buckeye recruiting and another very, very busy week here at Bucknuts.com. We continue our complete Buckeye recruiting coverage on Sunday with the latest edition of my 2014 Ohio State Hot List.
