Buckeye Recruiting Week In Review

I started the week early Saturday morning with a preview article on 5-star defensive back Tony Brown who left at 6:00 am on Saturday for his official visit to Ohio State.

On Saturday evening I started a Front Row message board thread with reactions from the many, many prospects attending the Ohio State-Penn State game.

JUCO offensive lineman Avery Gennesy made an official visit to Ohio State last weekend and Bucknuts had the first story on the visit early Sunday afternoon. Gennesy told me Ohio State was at the top of his list with one other school.

Gennesy’s teammate, defensive back A.J. Stamps also made an official visit to Ohio State last weekend and after the trip said the Buckeyes were at the top of his list.

Defensive end Malik McDowell made a quick visit to Ohio State for the Buckeyes’ game against Penn State.

In "What I Am Hearing" I had the behind the scenes news on Solomon Thomas and his visit to Ohio State last weekend.

On Sunday we had the fifth edition of our feature, Prep Report. Eric Frantz and I combined for a review of how all of the Buckeyes’ commitments did including the “Future Buckeye Of The Week,” and a review of the top Ohio prep performers for the weekend. Terry McLaurin won out as our “Future Buckeye Of The Week” after rushing for 311 yards and four touchdowns last Friday.

2015 tight end Hale Hentges visited Ohio State for the Penn State game and went home with a Buckeye scholarship offer.

2015 running back Bryce Love visited Ohio State for the Penn State game and is already talking about another visit with the Buckeyes. Ohio State is one of over a dozen scholarship offers Love already has.

I started Thursday with the latest buzz from tight end/wide receiver Miles Boykin and offensive lineman Sam Madden.

New Jersey teammates Minkah Fitzpatrick and Brandon Wimbush loved their visits to Ohio State for the Penn State game.

Defensive back Jordan Whitehead is one of a number of top 2015 DB’s very interested in Ohio State.
