On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had information on what exactly Friday Night Lights is, the Buckeyes’ 2014 quarterback recruiting, why a star 2014 prospect from Ohio is not looking at Ohio State and more.
On Monday morning the NCAA came out with their penalties on the Penn State football program from the Jerry Sandusky situation and shortly after they were announced I had a story on what impact the Penn State situation will have on Ohio State recruiting.
2014 safety Tony Brown had planned to make the trip up to Ohio State from Texas for Friday Night Lights, but Brown was invited to Gridiron Kings in Orlando, Fla., and is there instead. However, Brown says he will get up to Ohio at some point for a visit with the Buckeyes.

On Wednesday morning I posted a story previewing defensive end/outside linebacker Tyquan Lewis’ Ohio State visit this weekend. Lewis and his mother were attending Friday Night Lights although Lewis was not planning to work out.

One of the country’s top 2014 offensive tackle prospects, Kc McDermott, flew up to Ohio State from Florida on Thursday morning and I previewed his visit before McDermott left the Sunshine State. McDermott’s mother is from Ohio and still has family in the Buckeye State. McDermott has a dozen scholarship offers including one from Ohio State.

Jeb Blazevich, one of the country’s top 2014 prospects, camped at Ohio State late last month. And while he wasn’t able to make it back to OSU for Friday Night Lights, Blazevich says he plans to visit Ohio State again for a Buckeye game sometime this season.
Very early Friday I posted a preview of the many star prospects expected to be in attendance at Friday Night Lights. The group was a star-studded group that included many of the top prospects on the Buckeyes’ recruiting board.

And speaking of Friday Night Lights, Bucknuts.com covered the event like no other site including stories on top prospects and huge Buckeye targets such as Raekwon McMillan, Artavis Scott, Mason Cole and Dante Booker that no other site had. Other players we quickly featured included Clifton Garrett, Shelton Gibson, Donovan Munger, William Houston, Braxton Berrios and DeShone Kizer, and of course Buckeye commitment Tim Gardner.
