Buckeye Recruiting Week In Review

Bucknuts.com had wall-to-wall coverage of Friday Night Lights beginning late last Friday night and all the way through the weekend. 2013 defensive end/outside linebacker target Tyquan Lewis did not work out at Friday Night Lights, but he and his mother visited Ohio State last weekend. Lewis’ discussed what his mother thought of the visit and Meyer and more in an article I posted on Monday.

On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had information on a super prospect I may have given the Buckeyes as assist with, a potential good sign with 5-star linebacker Raekwon McMillan, a top 2014 target that is hearing all the right things from Meyer and more.

2014 offensive lineman Kyle Trout (Lancaster, Ohio/Lancaster) attended Friday Night Lights, but did not work out. However, the OSU coaches were glad he could make it and Trout spent time talking to Meyer and some of the Buckeye assistant coaches.

Huge 2014 offensive tackle Denzel Ward (Chicago, Ill./King College Prep) worked out at Friday Night Lights and came away very impressed. The 6-foot-8 and 290-pound Ward spoke with Orlando Pace, LeCharles Bentley, Ed Warninner and Mike Vrabel among others while he was in the “Shoe.”

2014 running back L.J. Scott (Marion, Ohio/Harding) was another prospect that came away very impressed with Friday Night Lights. In fact afterwards Scott called the event a “life changing experience.”
