The week started on Friday as I posted a thread on the games last weekend involving the Buckeyes’ verbal commitments. Among the top performers was Taivon Jacobs who had a long reception for a touchdown and a punt return for a score.

On Sunday morning I posted my popular “Presenting The Ohio State Recruiting Class” feature. I predicted Urban Meyer takes four more commitments for his 2013 recruiting class to end with 20 prospects.
On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had information on two Georgia commitments planning to visit Ohio State, a star 2014 QB who has committed elsewhere but is talking to the Buckeyes every week, and much more.
One of the Buckeyes’ top 2014 targets is 5-star safety Quin Blanding. Blanding plans to visit Ohio State and is talking about possibly making it to Ohio Stadium for the Buckeyes’ game against Michigan at the end of the season.

2014 quarterback DaShaun Watson committed to Clemson on Feb. 1, but the Buckeyes have offered him a scholarship and he is at least listening. In fact Watson talks to Meyer and/or offensive coordinator Tom Herman almost every week and says he will likely attend a Buckeye home game this season.

On Thursday morning I posted a thread on the Front Row message board previewing the high school games this weekend involving the Buckeyes’ commitments. This is an interactive thread as I look at how the future Buckeyes’ play in their games each weekend.

Meyer recently spoke on the phone with 2013 offensive lineman Roderick Johnson and Johnson says he is planning to make an official visit to Ohio State sometime in the next few weeks.
Meyer’s No. 1 target to finish off his 2013 recruiting class on the offensive line is former Penn State commitment Dorian Johnson, and Johnson is planning to make an official visit to Ohio State.

It was another very busy week for Buckeye recruiting and another very busy week here at Bucknuts.com. We continue our wall-to-wall Buckeye recruiting coverage tomorrow with my Sunday feature which this week will be a new feature called “What Remains For 2013?” This feature breaks down the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting efforts including what the Buckeyes currently have, how many spots are left in their 2013 class, what the remaining needs are and the names to remember. Don’t miss this new feature first thing Sunday morning.
