Boarding House: Friday Edition

**Northern Exposure … We’ve talked about it before here in The House. Urban Meyer and his staff are going to go anywhere and everywhere to bring the best players they can to Ohio State. And that definitely includes Brady Hoke’s backyard and the entire state of Michigan.

Why is this man smiling?

In fact, the Buckeyes have offered the top two uncommitted 2014 prospects in Michigan, defensive end Malik McDowell (Detroit, Mich./Loyola) and cornerback Damon Webb (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech). Both are considering Ohio State – in fact Webb has visited OSU a number of times and will be back for the Buckeyes’ junior day on Jan. 13.

While they haven’t offered him a scholarship, another Detroit area junior the Bucks have contacted who has Ohio State high on his list is wide receiver Maurice Ways (Detroit, Mich./Country Day). The 6-foot-4 and 193-pound Ways was a guest of the Buckeyes at the Ohio State-UAB game back in September. Ways talks to Ohio State Director of Player Personnel Mark Pantoni and says his three favorite schools are Ohio State, Michigan and USC.

Ways caught 51 passes for 957 yards and nine touchdowns during his junior season.

** Meyer ‘Takes It Over’ … The world will be watching after 5 p.m. today with the Under Armour All-American Game on ESPN.
