However, did you know that Meyer’s sister still lives in Cincinnati and his wife’s sister lives in Chillicothe? Well, now you do.

“It probably played a small part, but that’s another reason this has been a done deal for quite some time,” a source said “The funny thing is people actually thought Notre Dame was Urban’s dream job. He never said that and the urban legend – no pun intended – just took off. Ohio State has always been his dream job.

“If Notre Dame was his dream job, he obviously would have taken that job in 2005 when he was offered instead of going to Florida.

"Urban considers this 'going back home' and so does his wife. He's tried to play it cool, but he's wanted this job for a quite some time and Ohio State has wanted him ever since (Jim) Tressel was forced out."
