Boarding House: Friday Edition

**Cornered Market … Ohio State cornerbacks Travis Howard and Bradley Roby are in a battle for the team lead in interceptions with three and two, respectively. However, it’s a friendly competition between two young men who have become very close off the field.

Bradley Roby

“I think very highly of Travis,” Roby said. “Every game before we go out there when we’re on the field for warm-ups, we’re telling each other, ‘Let’s go out here and show ‘em why we’re the top-two Big Ten corners.’ I tell him that every game and I just feel like when he’s out there and I’m out there, it’s going to be hard for teams to complete passes.

“I’m proud of him of what he’s done this year and I hope he keeps it up.”

We asked Roby how he and Howard are different as corners.

“I don’t really know. Just the way we play is different,” he said. “But he makes plays, he’s in good position a lot, he’s older and he knows the game. But so do I. So, we’re just two different kind of corners and it’s hard to compare.”

As for how Howard feels about Roby and his game?

“Brad’s my dude, man,” Howard said. “He’s one of the top corners in the nation and I can honestly say he’s taught me a lot. I know I’m the older guy and I’ve taught him too, but we feed off each other and I learn from watching him every day. It’s a beautiful thing. We feel like we’re one of the best corner tandems in the country and we’re trying to prove that each and every Saturday when we step on the field.”

**Questioning Curtis … Questions have certainly come up on our Front Row message board as to what has happened to linebacker Curtis Grant, the highly ranked prospect who began the season as the Buckeyes’ starting middle linebacker, but has not been seen lately.

*What's the word?

*Taylor made?

*Going for the trifecta?

*Reid all about it?
