**Blast From The Past… We heard from a family member of former Ohio State quarterbacks Kent and Taylor Graham. The latter transferred from OSU after the 2011 season and landed at Hawaii.

Things are working out quite well for the 6-foot-5, 235-pound Graham who is slated to be the Warriors’ starting QB in 2013 and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
“They have their starting quarterback coming back (Sean Schroeder) and he’ll be a senior, but (head coach) Norm Chow loves Taylor and has already told him he’s going to be the starter. Chow absolutely loves him and thinks he’s perfect for his offense.”
Hawaii was just 3-9 this season.
The Graham family knows something about QB controversies. After transferring to Ohio State from Notre Dame, Kent Graham had just one year of eligibility and was the Buckeyes’ starting quarterback in 1991. Well, he was until what would have been the final game of his collegiate career. A junior named Kirk Herbstreit went on to start the bowl game for OSU.
Graham got the last laugh with a 10-year NFL career though. Can Taylor follow in his footsteps? We wouldn’t bet on it, but it’s good to hear he’s doing well at his new school.
**Quick Thoughts … On first glance it really doesn’t seem like a reasonable matchup: Louisville vs. Ohio State. We are not talking hoops. We are talking football. But we had a long conversation recently with a Louisville-based source close to the situation regarding James Quick. It was illuminating to say the least.
