“Coach (Luke) Fickell told me it takes more than being a great football player to be offered (by Ohio State),” said Class of 2014 safety Montae Nicholson (Monroeville, Pa/Gateway). “He said they check with counselors, coaches, teachers – they check on grades, attitude, how hard you work, a lot of stuff. And he said I have everything they are looking for.”
As one would expect, the next thing Nicholson heard from Fickell was the Buckeyes were offering him a scholarship.
