**Kc In The Buckeye Band? … Four-star Class of 2014 offensive lineman Kc McDermott (West Palm Beach, Fla./Palm Beach Central) made a trip to the Midwest in late July. First stop: Ohio State. He visited the Buckeyes the day before Friday Night Lights and was impressed. McDermott says Ohio State is one of the schools he is still highly considering and says he will likely make his college choice this spring or during the summer.
The 6-foot-7, 285-pound McDermott has a 97 rating from 247Sports, making him the No. 5 overall tackle in the nation.
But as things stand right now, McDermott will not attend a Buckeye game before he selects a college. McDermott’s brother, Shane McDermott, is a redshirt sophomore offensive lineman for the Miami Hurricanes and Kc attends most of his games. The only two other games Kc plans to attend yet this season are the Mississippi State at Alabama game and the Missouri at Florida game.
However, Kc says Shane being at Miami will have no impact on his decision. In fact, Kc jokes his brother “is trying to push me as far away as possible from Miami.”
