**On Line … There is not much doubt Urban Meyer wants to add an offensive lineman, preferably a tackle, to his 2013 recruiting class. When Dorian Johnson committed to Pitt, David Dawson was elevated to the top of the Buckeyes’ list.
Thanks .. but no thanks?
However, Dawson is taking the ACT on Saturday so he won’t visit Ohio State this weekend and there is no guarantee the visit will be rescheduled. The feeling is Dawson is likely to end up at Michigan State or back to his original commitment to Michigan when all is said and done.
But the Buckeyes also reached out to Wisconsin offensive tackle commitment Jackson Keeler (Barrington, Ill./Barrington) on Tuesday after word broke that Bret Bielema was leaving Wisconsin to take over at Arkansas. Buckeye offensive line coach Ed Warinner talked with Keeler on Tuesday night and offered the 6-foot-7 and 290-pounder a scholarship.
However, Keeler told Warinner he is solidly committed to the Badgers and has no plans to visit any other school.
**In Through The Out Door? … A big question around Ohio State’s football program right now is whether the coaching staff will stay completely intact. If head coach Urban Meyer has his way, he’ll have a 100 percent retention rate among his assistants heading into the 2013 season. Following a 12-0 season, the last thing on his mind is making coaching changes.
