Boarding House: Thursday Edition

**Lights Still Shining … One of the stars of Urban Meyer’s first Ohio State Friday Night Lights in late July was Class of 2014 wide receiver Artavis Scott (Tarpon Springs, Fla./East Lake). The Ohio State staff did not need to see Scott work out to know they wanted him – Scott had an Ohio State scholarship offer before he arrived in Columbus on July 27.

The 5-foot-10 and 175-pound Scott has an impressive list of scholarship offers that includes Ohio State, Florida, Florida State, Notre Dame, Michigan, South Carolina and South Florida.

But Scott’s performance in the Horseshoe had to leave the OSU staff even more interested in making him a Buckeye. And since that time their interest has not diminished one bit. If anything, it has grown and Ohio State fans will be happy to know the interest is definitely mutual.

A number of the OSU coaches are involved in Scott’s recruitment including Stan Drayton and Zach Smith, and Scott talks to Ohio State on almost a daily basis. Since Scott is just a junior the Buckeyes can’t call him so the “talk” consists of Scott calling the Ohio State coaches or talking to them on Facebook. But in any event, the interest is mutually strong.
