The Buckeyes are looking to sign two Class of 2013 quarterbacks. They also are working ahead on the Class of 2014 and one of the guys prominent on their board is DeSone Kizer, a teammate of Buckeye safety commitment Jayme Thompson.
The 6-foot-5, 210-pound Kizer, who has scholarship offers from Boston College, Syracuse, Toledo and Bowling Green, says rumors that he is a Michigan “lean” are not accurate. He maintains he has no leaders at all.
OSU offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Tom Herman was recently in contact with Kizer’s coach and told him he will soon stop at Central Catholic. Kizer said he will either throw for Herman when he visits his school or when he camps for a day at Ohio State in June.
