**Finley Tuned? … The Buckeyes offered a scholarship to offensive lineman Dennis Finley (Detroit, Mich./Cass Tech) and for a while he was the O-lineman at the top of their list (after others committed elsewhere). And Finley is planning to see the Buckeyes play in-person this season. But don’t expect Finley to end up at Ohio State.
Finley made it down to Friday Night Lights at Ohio State, though he didn’t work out. Offensive lineman Tim Gardner did work out, looked very good, was offered a scholarship by the Buckeyes the next day and quickly committed. Since then Finley says he has not spoken with any of the OSU coaches (to be fair he says he hasn’t spoken recently with just about any coaches).
Finley, who says he wants to attend the Ohio State at Michigan State game, has pretty much narrowed his decision down to Michigan State, Ohio State and Wisconsin, and says he is getting close to making his decision.
Everything we currently hear is that the decision will likely be Michigan State.
Does this mean the Bucks are done on the offensive line for their 2013 recruiting class? Not necessarily (Do we need to mention Dorian Johnson?). But unless they get someone they feel they can’t turn down, don’t look another O-tackle to be taken.
**Primary Concern In Secondary? … Are we on the verge of upheaval among the defensive backs?
