**Coombs’s Catch? …Class of 2014 wide receiver Derek Kief (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle) is a Kerry Coombs fan. Kief is being recruited by the fiery Buckeye assistant who has told Kief the Ohio State staff really likes him. The feeling is mutual. Kief was a Buckeye fan growing up and says Ohio State is “definitely one of my higher choices.”

The 6-foot-5 and 190-pound Kief has scholarship offers from Northwestern, Illinois, Cincinnati, Indiana and Toledo so far.

Marcus Lattimore, Thaddeus Snodgrass and Kief are the top three Class of 2014 wide receivers in Ohio at this point.
