**Marshall’s Plans? … Class of 2014 defensive end Lawrence Marshall (Southfield, Mich./Southfield) visited Ohio State over the weekend and committed before leaving Columbus on Sunday. The 6-foot-3, 225-pound Marshall had a number of other scholarship offers - including Michigan and Michigan State.

Despite his commitment to the Buckeyes, the Wolverines and Spartans were not expected to give up on Marshall. And they haven’t. Marshall has received messages on Facebook from both in-state schools since he said yes to Urban Meyer.
Rumors quickly surfaced Monday that Marshall would still visit both Michigan and Michigan State. On Monday night, when asked about said rumors, Marshall responded: “Not true at this time.”
“This time” could perhaps end as soon as tonight. Marshall has been invited to the Michigan at Michigan State basketball game and has not ruled out attending.
There are some that at one time pegged Michigan as the school to beat for Marshall, but perhaps neither in-state school is the school Buckeye Nation should worry about if they are going to worry about another suitor.
When asked if he grew up a Michigan fan, Marshall responded, “No, I was a USC fan.”
