**Marketing Miller … In Bill Kurelic’s “What I Am Hearing” on Sept. 17 he had an item about Braxton Miller being the new Terrelle Pryor when it comes to recruiting. When Pryor was playing for Ohio State, recruits often mentioned the Buckeyes’ star quarterback as one of the things that piqued their interest in OSU. That now is happening with Miller after his outstanding start in Urban Meyer’s offense.

Well, count Class of 2014 quarterback Kyle Allen from Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain among those mentioning Miller when it comes to Ohio State. Allen taped the Ohio State-Miami of Ohio game and caught some of the Ohio State-Cal game on TV. Allen quickly mentioned Miller when asked about those two games and called the Buckeyes’ quarterback “amazing.” He went on to say Miller “creates plays” and “looks good” in a Meyer offense that is “all about speed.” Allen has a 94 rating from 247Sports, making him the No. 7 rated pro-style quarterback in the Class of 2014.
The Ohio State program has Miller going for it both on the field and on the recruiting front.
**Reed All About It? … Many fans have asked about third-year sophomore wide receiver Verlon Reed who missed most of the 2011 season with an ACL tear after looking impressive early in the year.
*Verlon progressing?
*Punting problem?
*Coaching differences?
*Tall order?
