**Operation Percy … Urban Meyer and Tom Herman’s spread offense has been just about as good as anyone could expected in its first year of implementation in Columbus – even if Meyer does not have his true “Percy Harvin” at Ohio State yet. Well, what will it be like if Meyer and Herman have that Harvin guy next year and the following few years?

Gibson, Elder and LaRue could all fit the bill.
Meyer and Herman have let USC wide receiver commitment Sebastian LaRue (Santa Monica, Calif./Santa Monica), Cornelius Elder (Nashville, Tenn./Ensworth) and Shelton Gibson (Cleveland Heights, Ohio/Cleveland Heights) know they are being recruited for the Harvin slot position for the Buckeyes. All three say they will make official visits to Ohio State. Then of course there is Buckeye commitment Jalin Marshall who plays quarterback for Middletown but seems to be the perfect fit for the slot position in Meyer’s offense.
So what if LaRue, Elder, Gibson or any combination of those three end up at Ohio State as well as of course Marshall?
That friends would be a nice problem to have – and one that definitely could happen. Think the Buckeyes’ offense looks good now? It seems likely to get better in the coming seasons. Now, about that defense…
**Hyde Coming Of Age? … Ohio State junior Carlos Hyde is growing into one of the best backs in the Big Ten right in front of our eyes. The 6-foot, 235-pound Hyde now has 454 rushing yards on the season, he’s averaging 5.3 yards per carry and he’s scored seven touchdowns. Hyde has even added four catches for 35 yards and another TD.
*Where does the staff see Hyde going forward?
*Could Hall redshirt?
*Standard of measure?
*RG IV?
