**Good Sign? … If you have been following recruiting here at Bucknuts.com you probably know that 5-star offensive lineman Dorian Johnson is going to make an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Nov. 24 when the Buckeyes host Michigan.
After a relatively slow start to the year, Shazier has exploded and is putting up impressive statistics.
But what you may not know is that on the same weekend the Buckeyes welcome in Michigan, Pitt hosts Rutgers and the Pitt staff has been trying to make that a big recruiting weekend with many of their top targets in attendance. This could bode well for the Buckeyes.
Johnson turned down the visit to Pitt when the Panther staff really wanted him there, and instead went with the Buckeyes. Will this end with Johnson picking Ohio State over Pitt as his college choice? That can’t be determined right now. But it is certainly a positive that Johnson will see The Game in-person and could get caught up in the excitement of what Buckeye Nation hopes is a big win and the culmination of a 12-0 season in Urban Meyer’s first year at the helm of the Buckeyes.
**‘Thunder And Lightning’ … Ohio State sophomore outside linebacker Ryan Shazier appears to be a shoo-in for first-team All-Big Ten honors this season. After a relatively slow start to the year, Shazier has exploded and is putting up impressive statistics. Through 10 games, he leads the No. 5 Buckeyes (10-0, 6-0 Big Ten) with 98 tackles (59 solo) and 11.5 tackles-for-loss. He’s also amassed four sacks, one interception, one touchdown and 10 pass break-ups.

*Why have the young linebackers struggled?
