**Headed South For North … On Tuesday, Buckeye assistant coach Everett Withers was in North Carolina, specifically Charlotte where he stopped at Mallard Creek High School to see 4-star wide receiver MarQuez North. Mallard Creek is currently 10-1 and getting ready for the second round of the playoffs, but North is not a part of that and can now focus on recruiting. North tore his labrum and has missed the last two games, and will not return to action this season.

Among the things Withers and North talked about yesterday was the Ohio State-Michigan game the weekend of Nov. 24. The plan as things now stand is for North to make an official visit to OSU that weekend. However, everything we hear continues to point to an uphill battle for the Buckeyes with the other five schools North is highly considering - Clemson, Florida, Tennessee, North Carolina and Georgia - all being southern schools.
**What About Watkins? … One Class of 2014 Ohioan who is in the process of attracting suitors on a pretty routine basis is Dareian Watkins.
The 6-foot-2, 192-pound athlete from Galion (Ohio) picked up an offer yesterday from Georgia Tech which joined Purdue, Northwestern and Illinois among others on his list. Watkins will visit Michigan this coming weekend.
