**Masters of Ceremony … Urban Meyer is not going to back down from anyone on the recruiting trail. So it should come as no surprise the Buckeyes are actively recruiting Detroit (Mich.) Cass Tech, a school considered by many to be a Michigan “pipeline” school. The Buckeyes’ main Class of 2014 focus at Cass Tech is cornerback/wide receiver Damon Webb, who Meyer has offered a scholarship. Webb helped lead the Technicians to a second consecutive state championship this season.
Webb is a prime target for Meyer and Co.
Well, Kerry Coombs and Mike Vrabel stopped at Cass Tech earlier this month to check on Webb. It just so happens Buckeye coaches stopped at Cass Tech on the day the school was holding its ceremony to honor the state champion football team. Of course, Coombs and Vrabel stayed for the ceremony – just another “little thing” – and sometimes in the end those “little things” can be the difference maker.
**Big Man (Soon To Be) On Campus … With Ohio State getting an 325-pound pound Christmas present yesterday in Class of 2014 standout Marcelys Jones from Cleveland Glenville, we checked in with our sources in the WHAC to get the lowdown.
*Who wanted Jones most?
*Badger to Buckeye?
