**Baugh Makes It Official … When it came to the prospects making official visits to Ohio State this past weekend the main focus, and rightly so, was on the prospects that have yet to make a decision, Vonn Bell, Shelton Gibson, Cameron Hunt and Corn Elder. But there were also a number of prospects making official visits to Ohio State that committed to the Buckeyes long ago including tight end Marcus Baugh.

Marcus Baugh

The Ohio State staff wants Baugh to be a big-time receiving threat along the lines of Urban Meyer’s Aaron Hernandez at Florida.

So we thought we would give you a little information on Baugh and his trip to Columbus.

The Ohio State coaches told Baugh they could see him getting some playing time as a true freshman and they see him more as a “wide receiver” playing the tight end position. Translated, they want Baugh to be a big-time receiving threat along the lines of Urban Meyer’s Aaron Hernandez at Florida.

Baugh spent a decent amount of time with fellow commit Joey Bosa while both were in the Capital City this past weekend, but Baugh also spoke a bit with Bell.

So how did Baugh think Bell’s visit went? “He sounded pretty good,” Baugh said.

**Tricky Nick? … Later on in his recruitment, Mentor (Ohio) Class of 2013 quarterback Mitch Trubisky received some pretty serious interest from Alabama. Yes, Trubisky was a late-rising prospect (that now sits at No. 1 in the recently updated 247Sports dual-threat QB rankings) … but the Crimson Tide?

*What gives?
