**More Of ‘Mo … Defensive tackle Maurice Hurst, Jr. (Westwood, Mass./Xaverian Brothers) has been featured twice recently here at Bucknuts. Dave Biddle had Hurst as a guest on “Front Row Radio” and Bill Kurelic featured him in a story. The 6-foot-2 and 290-pound Hurst is the No. 1 prospect in Massachusetts and has 16 scholarship offers including Ohio State, Penn State, Nebraska, Michigan State, North Carolina and Virginia.

Maurice Hurst Jr.

Hurst is now up to 290 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds.

However, even though Hurst currently checks in at 290 pounds, he hasn’t always had size on his side. Hurst has been on the varsity since his freshman year when he rotated in on the Xaverian Brothers’ defensive line as that team went undefeated. Hurst played very well on that defensive line despite weighing just 199 at the time.

Hurst has steadily hit the weights since then. He weighed 220 pounds his sophomore year when he was clocked in the 40-yard dash at 4.7 seconds. During his junior season Hurst weighed 275 pounds. He is now up to 290 pounds and runs the 40-yard dash in 4.9 seconds.

**Bosa’s Hiatus …Joey Bosa from St. Thomas Aquinas in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., told us last night during he’s taking a temporary break from doing interviews.
