**Houston, Hello? … Shortly after the conclusion of Friday Night Lights Bucknuts had the story that the Buckeyes were making a strong pitch for Dublin Scioto tailback William Houston to head to Ohio State next season as a preferred walk-on. OSU assistant Tim Hinton told the 6-foot-0 and 230-pound Houston that the Buckeyes will be searching for fullbacks in the class of 2014, and he could get the jump on things if he is already at Ohio State and potentially earn a scholarship after his first season at OSU.

Well, Houston and Hinton spoke again this past weekend after Houston led Scioto to an opening night win. Houston rushed for 93 yards and three touchdowns in the first half on Friday night before watching as mostly back-ups took over in the second half of Scioto’s 48-21 victory over Canal Winchester.
Hinton and Houston talked about Houston’s game on Friday night, and Hinton reiterated that he wants to see Houston at Ohio State next season. Houston continues to consider a scholarship offer from Bowling Green, but is also highly considering the Buckeyes’ preferred walk-on offer which he calls a “pretty exciting” offer.
