**Southern Extraction … Buckeye 4-star defensive tackle commitment Michael Hill (Pendleton, S.C./Pendleton) committed to Ohio State in late June over scholarship offers from South Carolina, Clemson, Alabama, Florida, Florida State and others. Now – some that follow recruiting wonder if any of the southern schools are making their pitch to change Hill’s mind.

Hill's high school coach: "In the end, it came down to Ohio State and South Carolina and there was a lot of pressure on Michael."
But Pendleton coach Paul Sutherland says that is not happening at all.
“We are only five minutes away from Clemson,” Sutherland said. “We are two-and-a half hours away from South Carolina. But they aren’t recruiting him anymore – neither of them is. They have been classy. The schools have honored his commitment. In the end, it came down to Ohio State and South Carolina and there was a lot of pressure on Michael. I told Urban Meyer I wished he would have stayed in-state. But I’m behind the kid – I took him to Columbus. Everett Withers deserves a lot of the credit. And Mike Vrabel was good, too.
“Sometimes it’s better for a kid to get away.”
Especially when away is Columbus.
**Kick Return Woes … Thanks to his 76-yard touchdown against Nebraska, Ohio State feels it has finally found its punt returner in junior Philly Brown. However, the Buckeyes are still scratching their collective heads trying to find a productive kickoff returner to step up.
*Where do they go from here?
*Bo don't bite?
*If Bo goes?
*Stoney's deal?
