Our coverage began on Sunday with my Sunday feature which this past week was the latest edition on my 2013 Ohio State Hot List. With all of the recent Buckeye commitments my Hot List has definitely changed though there was not a change at the No. 1 spot.

Corey Smith attended the Ohio State spring game and came away impressed

On Monday morning I posted the latest edition of What I Am Hearing. In this edition I had information on a very big day for a potential Buckeye offensive line commitment, one potential QB commitment still in the running and one out, a potential commitment making friends at Ohio State and more.

Urban Meyer is looking to add play makers to his roster, and in particular he would like to add a couple great wide receivers. Corey Smith, a former Akron (Ohio) Buchtel star, attended the Buckeyes’ spring game and is someone that could perhaps be a big-time play maker at the next level. Smith talks about his experience at the Ohio State spring game as well as his interest in OSU.

Meyer has a commitment from the top offensive lineman in the state of Ohio in Evan Lisle. But he would like to add two more great offensive linemen to his 2013 class. And while they have not yet offered him a scholarship, J.P. Vonashek is an offensive tackle the Buckeyes are definitely interested in.

Just because he signed three outstanding defensive ends in his 2012 recruiting class and has a commitment from the country’s No. 2 class of 2013 strong-side defensive end doesn’t mean Meyer is not continuing to recruit other top defensive ends. One the Buckeyes are pursuing and very much in the running for is Tashawn Bower. The New Jersey star says the Buckeyes are in his Top 10 and he may visit Ohio State again this summer.

On Thursday the Buckeyes offered a scholarship to one of the country’s top sophomore offensive tackles, Orlando Brown (Suwanee, Ga./Peachtree Ridge). Brown is the son of the late Cleveland Browns and Baltimore Ravens offensive lineman Orlando Brown, and attends the same high school as Cam Heyward and Brad Roby attended. Brown was definitely excited to land an offer from the Buckeyes and plans to visit Ohio State.

Running back Derrick Green continues to pile up the scholarship offers. One of his most recent came from Alabama. Green says he currently has no leaders. He is hoping to visit Ohio State again in the not too distant future and meet the new coaching staff. Green recently spoke with Ohio State running backs could Stan Drayton who told Green there is one more running back spot open in the Buckeyes’ 2013 recruiting class and Drayton wants Green to take the spot.

The big news came at the end of the week as Alex Anzalone de-committed and rumors began to swirl on what might happen with Joey Bosa.

It was another very busy week for Buckeye recruiting and another very busy week here at Bucknuts.com. That is not going to change and the week begins here tomorrow with my Sunday feature. Tomorrow I will have a brand new edition of my 2013 Ohio Top 15.
