Canton (Ohio) McKinley Top100 athlete Eric Glover-Williams has committed to Ohio State.
Glover-Williams shined at Ohio State's Friday Night Lights in July.
Ranked by the 247Composite as the nation's No. 5 cornerback, and No. 48 prospect overall, the 5-foot-11, 165-pound Glover-Williams woke up this morning having no idea by the early evening he'd be a Buckeye.
"I was just thinking about it at work," Glover-Williams said. He is the first commit in the class-of-2015.
Ohio State had led for the entire process for Glover-Williams, who also had offers from Arkansas, Cincinnati, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan State, Nebraska, Pittsburgh, Tennessee and West Virginia. He last visited the Columbus campus for Friday Night Lights, where he put on a show in his future stadium.
"It was just something me and my parents talked over," Glover-Williams said.
"When I went there I felt at home. I know the coaches, I know the players. That was one of the things I liked about it."
Glover-Williams talked with Urban Meyer and his recruiter Mike Vrabel.
"They said they were excited and they told me congrats and they said they can't wait to see me down for game," Glover-Williams recapped.
Glover-Williams can't wait to play in the big games in an Ohio State jersey, particularly the ballgame over Thanksgiving weekend.
"Just thinking of high school, Massillon and McKinley being one of the biggest rivalries, and thinking about Michigan and Ohio State being the biggest rivalry sealed the deal."
