      This is the equivalent of his 2002 class that had all that NFL talent. This class is loaded.

    • Loved it... you guys are killing me with the teasers about recruits having to re-evaluate if Meyer is hired.. lol. Love Shazier I have not hidden that from the beginning. Oh but can we not use the phrase "Keys to the car" when referencing tOSU.... LOL!!!

    • I don't think LF should be the head coach next year because of how many games he wins, I think he should be head coach because of his willingness to take over a no win situation. Because of his loyalty to OSU. (something he is not getting in return) because of the upside of his tremendous potential, because I am more worried about him going to Penn State than UM, and because of the willingness of many to throw him under the bus. I say thanks Luke for just being willing to take the job in the first place. Go Bucks!!!

    • Just have to find a way to get him on the field more. He's the most instinctive kid i've seen in a while for a freshman. Watch him on any of the kickoff/punt returns and he's always blowing up people and seems to be in the right spots most of the time.

      Nice post MrTbuck. It really is shameful the non-stop talk about Meyer. It's as if the staff has a vested interest in the guy coming here. I don't know if they feel like they will be walking around with serious "egg on their faces" or they can't believe that their sources might be wrong.

      Regardless, the constant talk of it is over the top and really unfair to Coach Fickell and the team. We just enjoyed one of the greatest victories in years against a hated rivalry and all we hear about is the almighty, Meyer.

      I would like to see someone on this staff have the courage to ask some of the players on " this team" what their feelings would be if we won out and the university kicked their coach...our coach... to the curb. I am sure that question will never be asked. And if indeed we did have the good fortune to win out and they released Coach Fickell...the media, the coaching fraternity and fanbases all over the country would eat us alive...and rightfully so. I would also be curious to the harm it what do to our team and their psyche...not to mention how many players that might decide to leave early or transfer.

      What so many people seem to forget is that a football team plays their heart out for their school and their fans...but above all else they play for each other and their coaches. It would be nice if we could put the Meyer talk on the back burner and focus on our team...this team...and the here and now. The team and Coach Fickell deserve that...and in my mind anyhow...they've earned that modicum of respect from their so- called fans.

      Not so fast on the freshman class of 2011. The 2002 O line was much much better than 2011; the running back in 02 was not bad either.

    • I love Luke Fickell, and he deserves a ton of respect for what he has been able accomplish given the circumstances. Having said that, if Urban Meyer wants the job you give it to him (period end of story). Assuming we are not going to get a big name coach from another top tier program, I haven't heard another name mentioned that I would want more than Fickell. If Urban Meyer does take the job, I think the program should make every effort to keep Fickell on staff. That is the best of all worlds for me. If we could bring in Meyer and keep Fickell, we would crush it from a recruiting perspective, and keep all players content.

    • Imagine if OSU wins out, including a win against tsun in November, and another against tsun in the B1G championship game? How cool would THAT be? No way they could fire a coach who beats scUM twice in one year.

    • I just thought of something really interesting. Forgive me if it has already been posted here, but Ryan Shazier was a recruit that Tressel picked up after Meyer quit FL if I remember correctly. How weird would that be for Ryan to be able to play for the coach that he originally verbaled to at the school he actually signed with. They say "the Truth is too hard to make up"........LOL

      Someone mentioned on another thread to keep Luke Fickell as Co-Def Cord and Asst HC and hire Urban Meyer as HC. I would be estatic if our beloved university did that for Luke. He deserves that. Let him stay and continue to contribute to the school he LOVES and is PASSIONATE for!!!! Hope the big wigs are reading these boards......GO BUCKS!!

      I don't think that's correct. Almost positive it's pronounced "Shay-ZEER."

      The "i" is not silent. Could be wrong, but don't think I am.

    • The announcers on TV pronounced it Shay-zer (like razor). Maybe need to ask Ryan. Now I'm back to where I started from. ha
