Tommy Schutt (90) was the third freshman to get his black stripe removed. Noah Spence (8) was second.

Give these guys about 5-6 games to get their feet on the ground and they will begin to kick the living crap out of some opposing offenses. It will become infectious. I hope Vrabel plays them alot as a unit so they can develop an identity.

The best thing for Ohio States offensive line is Ohio States defensive line...that group is going to make everyone better...Saturdays for the offensive line is going to be a walk in the park after working against that D-line all week! Can't wait! O-H!!!!

The depth and talent of the front 4 at OSU is off the charts.
We loose 3 of 4 starters from this years team and reaplce them with equal talent (on paper)
LEO - Simon, Miller/Spence
NT - Goebel, Hale/Schutt/Carter
DT - Hankins, Washington/Schutt
SDD - Bennett, Pittman
Crazy depth and talent!

Washington came in at 295? How much did he weigh his senior year cause it couldn't have been the 255 he was listed at haha. These 4 have serious potential. We won't know anything until they play tho. Thats why I am hesitant to say we have depth on the dline. Outside of simon and hankins, nobody has proven anything. Goebel has never stood out, and bennet hasn't played much.

The coaches asked him to put on some weight so he could play DT. I think he just put on 7 pounds too much. Adolphus has the frame that allows him to gain weight fast. I am excited to see these 4 on the field at the same time. This could be the Buckeyes next dream team.

The reason I think Urb will bring us a title is because of this defense. Look at last years class of defensive players(Shazier, Grant, Bennett, Grant, Miller), this years, and next years (Bosa, Hill, Burrows, Eli) And hopefully Von Bell. Defense wins championships.

Urban understands the top quality in a NC caliber team is a STUD def. front. This is a primary reason the SEC has won so many NCs consecutively.
Just look at the '02 team with the def. front of Will Smith, Simon Fraser, Darrion Scott, Tim Anderson, Kenny Peterson. NO WAY does OSU win the NC without these players...

I love that they have talent and will show it on Sat. but I also love that they are bonding as a group, I don't care who you are, going away to college is tough and having a core of guys to bond with and have a friendship helps. I think that will make the college and football experience much better.
