Hurd is the country's No. 11 overall prospect and the No. 1 running back in the 247Sports rankings

The country’s No. 1 2014 running back, Jalen Hurd, was in Columbus this weekend and attended the Ohio State-Michigan game. Afterwards Hurd said he “loved it.”

I'm not Bill obviously, but I think I remember him saying the recruits sit at the 50 yard line about 30-50(?) rows up behind the Ohio State bench.

So I just got finished watching film on this kid. 4 things I noticed that I LOVE about him.
1. runs with his pads facing north & south at all times
2. runs upright while keeping his pad level low
3. instinctively knows when to "blanket" the ball
4. runs with short steps/quick feet, constantly keeping contact with the ground
I've seen a few films where kids have 1 or 2 of these much-needed characteristics. But not sure I've seen 1 with all four. Kinda reminds me of Ty Issac.....only better. This is the type of kid Urban would love to coach. Put him on my X-mas list

Geographically, t OSU is the closest of his top 5. This usually is a factor.

Actually Bama and UGA are closer.

Actually Bama is about 4-4.5 hours, Georgia is 5-5.5 and to tOSU is 5.5-6. Not a huge difference by any means but those three are all about the same. I don't think bama is gonna be in this one because of the amount of backs they have already taken. Not really sure about Georgia, but we obviously have started off on the right foot.
