Live Game Thread: UCF at Ohio State

Braxton Miller

Follow along on our live game thread via our Front Row message board during today's UCF at Ohio State game.

The No. 14 Buckeyes (1-0) are 18-point favorites, but the Knights (1-0) are a solid team and should provide an interesting challenge for the home team. UCF head coach George O'Leary riled up the natives by saying on Thursday that Ohio Stadium isn't a loud environment ... and then claiming he didn't say anything of the such prior to his team's walk-through on Friday. O'Leary went as far as to blame the media for making up the story.

Yes, you can expect a boisterousness Horseshoe crowd today and Urban Meyer might want to thank O'Leary for helping get the students and the rest of the crowd going today. The truth of the matter is O'Leary is right. Usually during games like these, the stadium is not all that loud. The Horseshoe has one of the best environments in the country when the stakes are high against a big-name opponent (especially if said game is played at night). But during nooners against a directional school? Usually not a rockin' crowd. However, the fans will be out to prove O'Leary wrong today.

It will be interesting to see how sophomore quarterback Braxton Miller plays for OSU after a big, yet inconsistent, game in the opener against Miami (Ohio). Also, UCF is expected to run the ball a lot, so the Buckeye defense will play much-more base 4-3, meaning sophomore middle linebacker Curtis Grant will get the most action of his young career.

There are several storylines we'll be paying close attention to and those are a couple of them. Follow along on our game thread below and check in with Bucknuts after the game for the best coverage on the 'net. We'll have my What We Learned column, Steve Helwagen's game story, a sidebar from Helwagen, game photos from Gary Housteau and Duane Long's game thoughts. But for now, here's the link for the live game thread:
