It's been a tough week of practice for OSU.

We checked in with the always-outspoken Urban Meyer after Wednesday's practice. How much has OSU worked on tackling this week? Also, will more true freshmen play on defense?

Good game to rest them if we jump out to a big lead. Rest them for at MSU, and get these green young quarter horses rep's needed against UAB's first team.
Go into MSU healthy, and hopefully cutting out penalties, while correcting tackling.

I certainly maybe guilty of reading too much into Urban's comments, but I'm suspecting he wants more rotation and more playing time for Washington, Spence and Schutt. I'm just not seeing that there's unanimity between Urban and Fickell/Vrabel insofar as trusting freshman.
And it's obvious why Urban is a winner. He identifies mistakes and weaknesses and tries to correct them. Based upon what I've seen this year and last year, LF and MV appear stubborn and averse to change.

It sounds to me like Sabino is more of a numbers/technique guy... like the article said, more like a coach.
Maybe once his playing days are over he'll be one of the guys to eventually be a DC?

I love the direct answer he gave.....Our beloved Tressel would of spun it into...."our kids are practicing hard each week, they are giving it all they have" type of response. I dont miss the Tressel Pressers....but miss the coach himself...he did great things here

instead of focusing on the 1 word, focus on the statement... I've seen people who are the worst players, be the best coaches by the knowledge of the game....That is what I was saying.
