Agreed! He wants a chance to play QB. tsun already has a verbal from a junior drop back QB. ND's offense is not tailored to his skills. I doubt he ends up at QB, but OSU will at least let him start out there. If he wants to make it to the league, he will change position at some point, but when you are as good as he is, you want to give it (QB) a shot.

MU has no chance. They already have QB Shane Morris and Hoke runs a traditional offense which favors a pocket QB. ND lost the assistant recruiting him. He grew up a Buckeye fan, wears OSU gear everywhere, and knows Meyer will make him something special. He's said a few times he'll decide before his senior season. Within 8 months, he'll be an OSU commit and will become an electrifying player in the Shoe when he arrives.

I said all along give this kid a shot at QB. If he is great then we have ourselves a great QB. If not, he should be willing and wanting to move to WR or slot. It sounds like he is as long as he gets that chance. Truth is that except for Drew Brees there are no real effect 6'0" QBs playing on Sundays; however, he could be a stud WR and return man in the NFL

It would be nice if this kid committed early. I believe when you start a class with such an electrifying talent it could start a snowball effect. If guys who are heavy OSU leans like Marshall, Burrows, Kimbrough, Foster, Price, and Smith commit early, what other top recruit wouldn't want to be apart of such an amazing class.

That is where Urban has been awesome on the recruiting trail at Florida. He gets a couple of elite kids that they themselves recruit more elite kids.

Yes, get this kid to start recruiting other top talent...we need a charter recruit, so why not this one? Living out west, don't how you guys all know he is a lock, can anyone share more please? I have not seen his highlight reel, is this a T Ginn type kid? Thanks guys.

I agree. However, I believe the progress (and creative use) of Braxton Miller will make the difference with Jalin Marshall. Once his athletic talents are utilized more effectively and the 'old offense' (pun intended) is gone, Jalin won't be the only athlete that wants to come to Columbus!!

I'm no insider by any means, I just know he's a kid from Ohio who grew up a big Buckeye fan. Take that and a scholarship offer and that usually means Buckeye all the way.

Don't see a fit in how Saban runs his offense. Maybe LSU but Nick has 5* QBs who he uses to manage his offense and it's more traditional.
Marshall would be a WR at Alabama

If he bleeds scarlet and grey why doesn't he say "There is no way in hell I would ever play for Michigan?" I'm not necessarily questioning whether or not he "bleeds scarlet and grey", but rather why don't kids who have grown up Ohio State fans just say there is no chance I'm going to that school. Tyvis Powell is the closest I've heard to someone saying anything like that. It seems crazy to me that any fan of Ohio State would even consider going to Michigan. Maybe the older generation hate towards them is stronger because they have been insignificant since most of these kids have been watching football.

Not if he is set in stone about playing QB. There are much better QBs out there. This kid is too much of an Athlete to waste at QB. He needs to understand his talents are NOT at QB. He would be better served as a skilled player as a receiver.

Love the fact he wants to play quarterback--although he won't. Shows confidence in his ability and that he wants to be a leader. He'll be utilized to perfection in Meyer/Herman's offense.
