The Buckeyes have a commitment from one top prospect out west. They seem high on the list of another who also happens to be a Buckeye legacy and plans to visit Ohio State.

That's what we want to hear, Allen is coming and will spend all the time he needs.
Seen a few blogs from teams that offered Allen like Oregon and they stated if OSU wants him, they get him.

He has caught 100 passes so far in his high school career so I think he probably has good enough hands. Plus his dad played baseball so he probably inherited good hand-eye coordination.

I know that I have seen posts saying that his track speeds are deceptive, he doesn't move that fast in pads. Now I have watched some track and football highlights of Devon Allen. From what I have seen, he's really fast, maybe faster than Jalin Marshall though not as big and can't run in traffic as well. He looks like he has good hands and can catch the ball with a defender on him. I would like to see an expert's evaluation of the 12+ minute highlight video that is on youtube from last season.

Dude ran a 21.10 in the 200m this year. That's the second fastest time IN THE COUNTRY!!! Yeah, he's kinda fast.

Can't wait for him to visit. If he visits us first (as planned) he most likely can spend his whole time hear with his relatives as he hopefully will be blown away by Urban and verbal while here. I really hope we get this young man. I think you throw out the rankings here because his film showed he can catch and we know he has the one element that we are looking for....SPEED. At the very least he takes care of the CBs attention as he constantly blows by them deep.

I am old school..Just give me Cris Carter over anyone..Carter did not have sprinters speed but he could not be covered one-on-one..Carter had the best hands and body control of any OSU reciever (save Paul Warfield even though Warfield was rb)..Carter was OSU's best gamechanging wr IMO
