The good news keeps coming for Bolingbrook (Ill.) High 2014 cornerback Parrker Westphal.
Following an offer from Michigan earlier in the day, the 6-foot, 180-pound Westphal added a scholarship from Ohio State.
West Virginia had previously offered Westphal, and Bolingbrook coach John Ivlow says Cincinnati, Illinois, Iowa and Nebraska could each add to the list “within the next couple days.”
In helping his team win the school’s first-ever state championship this past fall, Westphal put himself on the national radar with 56 tackles, 20 pass breakups, seven tackles for loss, two sacks, one forced fumble and two recoveries.
“He’s six-foot tall,” Ivlow stated. “Everyone wants the 6-foot corner. He does tremendous things for a sophomore. Has great film. But that’s the thing that sets him apart. There are probably hundreds of guys that can do what he does on film, but right now everyone wants 6-foot corners.
