Miller's upper-body mechanics are sound. Footwork? Not so much, at least not yet.
We have our third and final installment of Ohio State's biggest storylines during spring practice: The development of quarterback Braxton Miller and his wide receivers.

Were the reports that Braxton spent time with George Whitfield [noted QB guru] true? If so that could be a big plus. I feel that Braxton's ability to get deeper into his progressions will be a huge boost to the receiver corps. It's tough for them to show what they can do if he is locking onto just one or two receivers

Every time I read about Braxton's passing game I think back to his freshman year and grimace over the thought of where he could be right now with better coaching then. I am expecting a breakout year in the passing attack that is going to shock a lot of people. I think not only will Braxton improve dramatically, but the receivers are going to also show a lot of improvement. Of course this is all assuming Braxton can improve on his ability to find his secondary receivers (a real weakness in 2012 imho).

Ya know, even though he was out there playing in an extremely-vanilla offense, likely not getting good coaching, at least he got to get the feel for the speed of the game that season. I'm convinced that allowed Braxton to progress as much as he did from one year to the next. And now in his third year -- especially it being his second in the Meyer/Herman offense -- I think there's a good chance he'll explode. And if he does, OSU is going to be one hell of a tough team for anyone to beat.

That THIRD threat is what the entire offense needs. When you have that one more threat then it stretches the D to the limit. I think the other thing that is going to be important is for a couple of the WR's to really step up. We know Braxton can run like a deer, the RB's are really good....now we need the slot back/RB to be a huge threat and a couple WR to stretch it vertically and that is constant pressure on the D every single snap.

With the cake walk schedule we have he should be able to explode... time will tell what we actually face this season as team's can and do rise to the occasion. 12-0 and thinking we should cruise through the nonconference OSU will have a rather large bullseye on their back as teams will want to knock us off NC contention.
