I think the Mewhort penalty was actually on Brewster. Everybody move except him.

The OL depth is so woeful and so is our LEO position. I worry these gutless performances will have an impact on A. Washington, Odenigbo, and Davidson. We need to get Meyer (or whoever the next coach is) on board ASAP to stabilize things.
I think a failure to monitor Notice is coming our way. I hope we can apply it to this season.

I notice Brax being coached from the booth after his sucessful series in first half and I didn't see coach siciliano next to bollman in the booth. Can someone clarify?

I agree with everything you said EXCEPT the comment that Braxton looked good throwing the ball. He still has trouble throwing the deep ball (at least 20 yards) and until he does, the defenses will continue to crowd the line.
Also, by not finding his secondary receivers quickly enough, he's pulling the down too quickly and taking off ... often for good gains, but it so opens himself up to injuries.

Yeah, his throws are so freakin wobbly it makes you wonder how the receivers even catch them. I think it's nerves. Who knows? But at least he's accurate, he just needs to throw tight spirals. He's a young guy. He'll learn as he gets older. He's gonna be something special. We just need a competent coaching staff (and QB coach) to mentor him and develop him into a pure pocket passer.

I truly cannot believe we did not see Guiton after seeing how much Nebraska struggled to cover a QB that could scramble. Add in the fact that Joe is simply bad, and I am confused.

The fact that Bauserman came into this game made me physically sick. Fickell sucks. Mr. Defense Luke Fickell. If he is too damn dumb to realize that Joe Bauserman is a liability then he has no business coaching a jr high team. Fickell sucks, Bauserman sucks and our idiot fans cheering like the game was over in the 3rd quarter inside Memorial Stadium suck. Mark May is probably giggling like a school girl thinking about how this nightmare can show up for 50 years on espn classic.

I just don't understand. Most teams have at least two QBs that could come in and be a caretaker QB. All of us knew JB could not play and is NOT a D1 QB (sorry Finkes, we do have a right to judge). Don't tell me that TOSU could not have got someone ready to step in as a backup. We lucked into Troy Smith, landed a top QB in Pryor, but have mostly had a lot of misses along the way.

I think having boom back is going to help the running game. I love the young defensive players that played good, Roby, Bryant, Shazier, Hankins, Bennett. Were still missing that big time pass rusher.
