  • McMillan, Garrett and Booker.
No one disputes McMillan is the best by a lot. Garrett may be the best in the Midwest. Booker is the best in Ohio.

  • There will probably be more names as the year goes on. Maybe some under the radar guys will pop up during the camps. I like Berger and Booker the best out of the ones mentioned. Always good to keep the best from in state.

  • In-state I would say Booker has the best physical talent, measureables. But it doesn't always translate to his play. Watch the state championship game vs Bellevue...Booker wasn't even the best defensive player on his team, certainly not in terms of consistent play. I think this is one of the reasons people talk about he may grow into or be better suited at DE.

Berger on the other hand is slighter currently, but very fast. He runs down the ball all over the field, he takes perfect angles. He uses his hands well and has a great feel for OLB, more of an instictive player. He just seems to "get" the position.

Berger is the best OH LB, Booker is the best athlete playing LB in the state.

I dispute it. I've said this several times now. Garrett is a frickin missle. Nobody finishes off a ball carrier like him, not even Raekwon. And since I'm not going to Illinois or Georgia to watch a game in person, I'll go with all I have, a highlight reel, Nobody's is more impressive to me than Garrett's. Yes, McMillan is awesome, but if i were only taking one LB, it's Garrett. They are my 1 and 1a. Nyles Morgan is probably my 3 man, because I see Booker as a kid who might outgrow the position. JMO.

  • Booker is the next Curtis Grant. Freakish athlete. Not a tremendous football player.

  • I say McMillian #1, Burger #2, Garret #3 and Booker #4

    JDgopher

  • ^^ Berger is no where near #2 bro.

    1a Garrett
    1b McMillan
    3 Kendall Gant
    4 Dillon Bates
    5 Kyle Berger

    Booker moves to WDE IMO

    Isn't Kendall Gant a DB? 6-2, 190

I love the kid - I don't go by the Rivals rankings or 24-7 or Scout. It's the eyeball test for me, 44 Tackles for loss and 10 sacks and a better film than anyone other than McMillian.

Who would you rather have Jelani Jenkins, Nico Johnson, Dorian Bell, Ronnel Lewis or Luke Kuechley. Ranking don't mean shit, The first four are the top 4 LB's in their class out of high school and none will be drafted on day one of the NFL draft and the last is a 3-time first team All-American and top ten pick and Luke was ranked 41 by rivals. You might have them ranked right in athletic ability but not in football IMO. Watch the films and tell me if you still have the same rankings.

That threw me as well, Old Urb for Prez must have done some real scouting considering a safety who weights 185 pounds is ranked as his 3rd best linebacker.

Haha ok TOS listed as a LB at 6'3 190.

Check his film, I would provide a link but I'm my cell.

And plus this is only Ohio State targeted players to be exact. I love how you come off as a smart ass for no reason You sound just like my little niece.

    Who you telling?

I' have followed recruiting since middle school. I go by offers anyways I think players with 30+ off are the true gems/ can't miss prospects. My only beef was you having Berger over Garrett. Only someone who hasn't seen both players film would do so.

I don't go by offers this early. Last year at this time Mike Mitchell had very few offers and Alex Analone had little to none at all. Both are 5-star kids now. Agree to disagree I like Berger more than Garrett on film. I guess in 4 years we will see who is right. I can understand how you like Garrett he looks like a beast I really like Bergers film though. He reads and reacts so quickly. Hopefully OSU gets them both. Ohio seems to produce some great LB's, I think Berger is next.

Which site do you follow....I guess I only know 24-7, scout, and rivals and they all have him as a safety or WR. Weird that your site has him as a LB.

    JDgopher

  • Nope the guy who covers Florida from scout posted on "Ask the Insiders" had him as a LB.

He's 6'3 190 already as a JR. By the time he'll be at Ohio State his body will fill out. Personally I think hes a perfect fit at the stat hybrid LB/S role.
