Fact is ND would have likely lost if Barkley was playing. Secondly, ND flat out lost to Pitt and Stanford without help from the zebras. Finally, Urban ate Kellys Bearcats for breakfast a few years ago and would flat out coach him again. People can call the B10 weak and thats fine but until ND plays a B10 schedule week in and week out its just huff n puff and they know it. Id bet money that ND wouldnt have run the table in the B10. Chokelahoma is over rated every year and lowly Cal (who beat UCLA by 26 points) would steamroll Pitt just like Ytown State did.

It's hilarious that Notre Dame won so many games against mediocre teams, yet they'll somehow destroy Ohio State. They beat Michigan 13-6 and Michigan State 20-3, and barely beat Purdue. That's not too different from how we played those two teams.
Notre Dame might beat OSU if they played, but for Shannon Ryan to talk like Ohio State is lucky that it's hypothetical is laughable. They had one dominant win against a good team (Oklahoma) and barely beat a lot of mediocre teams on their schedule. It's like predicting Ohio State would blow someone out in 2002. Very good team, but they rarely won by blowing out the opposition. I'm not sure what Notre Dame team Ryan was watching this year.
