Then you don't get it. OSU's SOS was like 58th last year while Alabama's was in the mid 30s. OSU's SOS in 2013 will be lower as they won't play Nebraska or Michigan State. Meyer knows what you apparently don't want to admit. OSU could be left out of the NC game next year due to their SOS. I have heard more than one BCS rating expert say that OSU would not have qualified for the NC game in 2012 BCS ratings due to low SOS.
