Actually, I am happy that the OSU staff is not going by star ratings or the opinions of scouts. They are watching film, studying the kids' statistics, and interacting with them instead. Two outstanding prospects of a previous OSU class, A.J. Hawk and Santonio Holmes, were just rated three star and yet they went on to have fine college and pro careers.

Im entitled to my opinion and I think this is a bad move. Just that simple. This isn't going to lure guys lol we are half way full and Bosa IS coming in. He would pull people in if we needed him to. But we need other positions filled much more. Why load up a stacked position with lesser talent? Go ahead and down vote me more for being honest with how I feel. I swear if you arent always trying to agree with everyone and always being positive on these boards people will roast you. Michigan boards dont down vote me as much as you just did and I argue with them.

Vrabel getting excited about a 6-4 250 DE kid who runs a 4.5 with lateral speed that he can put inside? Why? Vrabel has spent way too much time around Belichick. Those 2 are nut jobs.

ELYRIA — Elyria High has another lineman going to a Division I college. Junior defensive end Tracy Sprinkle committed to Ohio State on Tuesday, turning down 13 other offers to play for Urban Meyer and the Buckeyes. Sprinkle initially came to Fell seeking assistance with a highlight reel for the recruiting process, but Fell told him he wouldn’t need one because he’d be able to sell himself. Based on defensive line coach Mike Vrabel’s reaction when he found out he got him, Sprinkle made an impression. “When we called Ohio State and told them Tracy was committing, Coach Vrabel was yelling through the phone,” Fell said. “It felt good to know how excited they were.” At 6-foot-5 and 260 pounds with explosive speed on the line, Sprinkle recorded a team-high 94 tackles and eight sacks, good enough for third team All-Ohio honors. “A lot of kids think it’s easy, but they quickly realize they have to work hard to get a Division I scholarship,” Pioneers offensive line coach Steve Hamilton said. “A lot of it is genetics and Sprinkle is a big kid who is very fast and works hard to improve himself.
