Andrew Sweat NOT at Browns camp...

Mary Kay Cabbot just tweeted Pat Shurmur was quoted as saying "Andrew Sweat is not at camp and decided not to play."
I wonder what's up there?
BCast and Dustin Fox either tweeting or retweeting same news...he drove to Browns camp and then decided he doesn't want to play? I hope he is okay...
Possible failed physical?

Maybe he had a job offer outside of the NFL.

I posted something on twitter basically saying you have to realize that football is special in the fact that it is the only sport where practice time vs. games is multiples higher with usually 4-5 practices a week compared to one game.
When someone steps away from the game because they've lost "passion" for the game, I don't really buy that. Football is awesome. Mashing on your teammates for months on end is just monotonous and mentally/physically exhausting. I'd imagine a lot of guys who leave "early" just say "I don't really want to be here"

I'm a 22 year old gearing up for law school the same way sweat is and I can tell you this. It takes a hell of a lot of work and effort to get into a position to where you can go to a tier 1 law school (the schools sweat is accepted to) its very likely that he is closing the football chapter and pursuing his law career. It sounds silly when you have an oppurtunity to play in the big leagues but he had a long way to go until he had a guaranteed spot. He's put in the work already for football and it may just be allure of getting a start on his career. Simple opinion of a guy in his situation but it wouldn't surprise me if thats the case

No brainer. Why risk injury and possibly not even make the team? Best case scenario hes special teams and making NFL minimum. Great college career and wise enough to move on healthy. He made the right choice.
