Just got home from work and I catch Andre Ware on College Football Live talking about what conference Notre Dame should join if they were to in fact join a conference. They talked about the ACC and Big 12 and Andre Ware decided on the Big 12 because of "geographical reasons." Uhhh, I guess Indiana is close to everything in the Big 12? Ok, Andre what's another reason they should join the Big 12? "Well they play Texas in a few years so they will already be comfortable with a powerhouse of the conference." I guess playing Michigan, Michigan State and Purdue nearly every year isn't all that good enough of a reason but playing Texas in a couple years is okay. They do play Oklahoma this coming season but it isn't like they're big rivalry games where games with UM and MSU tend to be. The bias is just absolutely hilarious.

Notre Dame should not join a conference. They should also not get any preference in attending meetings for conferences. It is their choice to stay independent.
I do see the B1G going to 14 or 16 teams down the road when they can cost justify it. The schools will have to bring in viewers like never before. I am sure that all of the presidents in the B1G will take less money when a school joins. If that is not the case then it will require a school to bring in 25 to 30 million dollars to the profit pot to be split among the scools. That will require a lot of TV's.
There may be a few schools out there that could bring in that kind of money but they are few and far between.
