Several follow-ups today about this nonsense. Here's a couple good ones

This is case numerouno on how big ten schools could jump up in recruiting but they don't even try. Why couldn't a purdue give this guy or guys like him and make an offer. That is on them for not trying.

True.. But this kid is from Goergia. He should do him self a favor and just go play for Mark Reicht, at least when that guy offers a schollie and you take then it will actually still be there when it's time to sign

So now the kid says he's NOT going to sign with Alabama, and will go somewhere else where he can atleast redshirt this year. I say good for him - but this is EXACTLY what Nick Saban wanted all along. He knew a prospect like this wasn't going to Grayshirt. He knew eventually people would tell him (and they did) to go elsewhere.
Hey, he said he'd find a way around the new rules and he has. Oversigning still alive & well in the SEC!

I am in sales and i can tell you one indisputable fact. If you don't call them they will never sign. Why couldn't an Iowa or purdue or a Minnesota call this kid and make an offer? Because the kid is from Georgia? If osu took that outlook would we have signed cam heyward or Santonio holmes?

He has been committed to Bama for over a year now.. Why would Purdue give him a shot when he is already committed? This just happened. I could see offering him now if that is what you meant.

According to this website, Bama has 27 commits right now. I love how the SEC puts in a 25 commitment limit but you do not have to follow it. There needs to be a NCAA rule saying scholarships are 4 years unless the students breaks the law or fails school. And you can only sign 3 players more than you have room for.
