Auburn Shooting

  • According to reports there was a shooting in a apartment complex on Auburn campus.....3 football players may have been shot and died.....What a tragedy. Seems like something happens like this every few months.....when is this cycle going to end?

    jesus man, just a guess. don't get your panties all in a twist. At first glance, cases like this usually involve drugs. Am I wrong? hell, most violence in this country involve drugs in some shape or form.

    Bringing a knife to a gunfight is one thing. Using a bottle to start a gunfight....over a woman...is another level of stupid, not counting the idiots that thought that using a gun in this situation was a good idea.

    If you are willing to give up our 2nd amendment right to bear arms, what will you give up next? Free speech?

  • If there was a registered and trained gun holder this may have ended a different way.

    This is a tragedy for sure. Sounds like most hit had no involvement in it.

    As a law abiding citizen, how am I to protect my family once I've been stripped of my handgun? I really fear the time I will have to defend myself or my family from some bath salt-crazed criminal. But it's reality that some just fail to see...

  • The real issue here is that the kids grow up in a world that has not prepared them for life. The lack of values and morals is what is at issue. This is a failure of the family structure to prepare them for life, to show them that life is precious and that a simple act of pulling a trigger on a gun is not the answer to the problem.

    I don't own a gun, and I do not support gun control, what I do support is stiffer laws on crimes involving guns and loss of life.

    which is the other leading cause for violence in cases like this. I guess I would deserve to be bashed had I said "probably over a woman." LOL some of you are way too sensitive. Not sure why all the "anger." I wasn't even saying that the victims were necessarily involved in drugs. But the perpetrators could have been.

    Look up the stats. When violent crimes occur in this country, especially when young people are involved, it more times than not involves drugs. That is statistical data.

    I'm willing to give up our 2nd Amendment right because of too many guns in USA falling into wrong hands. We have the worlds highest murder rate caused by firearms. Also, we have the worlds highest sucides rate used with firearms because the firearms are too easily within reach.
    Also, 80% of Mexico's murders are used by the firearms purchased in USA tells us that we have too much surplus of firearms.

    The guns should be limited to the point where not enough firearms would fall in the wrong hands.

    Has nothing to do with gun control. As a matter of fact the cities with the most strict gun control laws have the highest crime rates.
